This image of my eye was taken (for fun) by my optometrist on Friday. The middle brown part is the pupil, and it's supposed to be a complete circle, but it isn't.
The middle right part of the eye shows a black patch with a small ring of orange. That's the flash from the camera passing through the compromised iris and reflecting off the retina in the back of the eye. In any case, I got some contact lenses (I was this close to getting glasses but decided not to in the end), which will help me see a bit better from now on.

Damn man, that is terrible. I hope you sue the buggers that crashed into you! Airbags seem to injure more than save at low impact collisions.
ooooh! bad! that had to have hurt!did it affect your vision?
Yep! Basically, it's impaired right now permanently.
Your eyez are so sexy
Dude! You realize of course, that you can't really tear your pupil. It's a hole in your eye.
See http://tinyurl.com/osxw4 for confirmation of this.
Sorry, I should've edited that to say a tear in the iris. The iris can expand and contract to cover the pupil. The pupil itself is fine, the problem is the iris lets in too much light.
